# Reconciling commission statements in EZLynx: your options

EZLynx is an agency management system, so this is not an “alternative to EZLynx” page. It sets out what EZLynx documents for importing commission statements, and when a separate check may help. Every EZLynx statement links to EZLynx’s own page, checked 12 Oct 2026.

By Lapidar, the team building it · October 12, 2026

EZLynx is an agency management system. Lapidar does not replace it and does not connect to it; it checks statement files against a book export and schedule, beside EZLynx. We build Lapidar, so we have kept every statement about EZLynx to what EZLynx’s own public pages say, each linked and dated. Where we found nothing, we say so; that does not mean the product lacks it.

## What EZLynx documents about commissions

An agency management system. EZLynx’s own announcement describes importing commission statements with reusable field mappings per carrier.

- Commission statements can be imported as CSV, using EZLynx’s template or custom field mappings per carrier that are reused each month, and imported line items are matched to policies. Source: [www.ezlynx.com](https://www.ezlynx.com/blog/posts/import-commission-statements), checked 12 Oct 2026.
- The post is dated January 25, 2016; it is the most specific EZLynx page on statement import we found, so current behavior may differ. Source: [www.ezlynx.com](https://www.ezlynx.com/blog/posts/import-commission-statements), checked 12 Oct 2026.

## When EZLynx is the better choice

- Your statements come as CSV and you want them imported and matched to policies inside your AMS, with a saved mapping per carrier.
- You want commission records kept in the same system as clients and policies, not checked month by month from uploaded files.
- You want one system rather than another tool and another upload each month.

## When Lapidar may fit

- Some carrier statements arrive as PDFs. The EZLynx post we found describes CSV import; Lapidar also reads PDFs with a text layer. Ask EZLynx what it supports today.
- You want statements compared with your book, so a policy that owed commission but produced no statement line is flagged.
- You want a per-carrier report of what looks owed, tied to the statement page and row, to send to the carrier.

Some agencies use both: their system for day-to-day commission records, and a monthly check of statements against the book.

## What Lapidar does, and doesn’t

Lapidar is new and in a founding pilot for up to 7 agencies, with no customers or published results yet. It is not an agency management system and works beside one.

- You upload your book (CSV or XLSX export from your AMS), your commission schedule (CSV, XLSX or typed in), and the carrier statements as sent (CSV, XLSX or PDF with a text layer).
- Each commission line and each policy that owed commission in the period is matched by carrier and policy number and labeled Missing, Underpaid, Paid twice, Chargeback, Overpaid, Not in book or Unchecked, with the statement page and row behind it.
- Output: a findings page, CSV export and a printable report per carrier. You send it; Lapidar never contacts carriers.
- It doesn’t do: AMS integration, OCR for scanned PDFs, carrier downloads or AL3/XML import, producer pay, bank reconciliation or accounting entries. Results depend on your book and schedule being right.
- Price: USD 99 a month plus applicable tax during the founding pilot, [as published](https://getlapidar.com/pilot/).

Full detail is on the [commission reconciliation software](https://getlapidar.com/commission-reconciliation-software/) page; the output is shown on the [sample report](https://getlapidar.com/sample-report/) (invented data).
